internationality

Okay, so, a while ago, my roommate and I decided to try to get an international penpal.

We spent HOURS looking for one that would respond.

Surprisingly, someone found me.

And surprisingly, he's in New Zealand.

He's a really cool person.

I definitely would like to have him as a friend for life.

Don't worry, there's nothing romantic going on here.

Just friend to friend hey-how-ya-doin' kinda thing.

I think I might try to see if he'll start doing snail mail - old fashioned penpal-ing! :P

If not, emailing is just fine.

But yeah, he's cool. We actually have a bit in common.

OH, and I found a dude in Italy who speaks fluent Italian!

So, he's gonna help me with my Italian and I'm gonna help him with his English.

Talk about Language Exchange!
This is really kind of exciting!

I'm learning a lot about Italy through him.

He's really cool, as well.

His little mistakes when he types his sentences crack me up, but I totally get it.

There's been a few times where I had no idea what he was trying to ask, so he's had to provide examples.

But, I think in the long run... Having these international friendships will be good for me, and maybe my career? -crosses fingers-

I can expand my music selection through both people and learn about different cultures and lives in Italy and New Zealand.

Speaking of New Zealand, again....

I just need to fill out my application for my study abroad program.

AND, set up an informational meeting or whatever in BB Comer.

And wish upon a star that I can get some scholarships or something!!!!!

I have a feeling that this semester is going to be financially crazy.

But, I'm soooooo ready to do this!

Hmmm... Yes, New Zealand would be wonderful to visit again. :)
I think it is something that I need to happen in my life.

To just.. GO somewhere. Somewhere new.

And do new things.

And see new things.

And new experiences.

And everything, all of it.

I'M SO FREAKING EXCITEDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everything has finally fallen into place and turning out the way it should have originally been.

This is the other thing I think I needed. Some familiarity. Some closeness. Some... love. :)

Because as each day passes, that day gets closer.

And as that day gets closer, the happier I'll become.

And, the happier I'll become... Well... I can only hope for good things, right?
