i follow the night

Why does twilight (not the book-turned-movie, the actual thing) make everything so much better, and clearer?
It really cleansed my thoughts and what not.
I think I'm gonna go back down to the river in about 2 hours to see the sunrise.
Maybe I'll get some photography in too.
(:
I hope there's still fog around when I get back down.
But for now?
Facebook, music annnnnnd... yeah. Maybe a game.

So, I stayed up all night.
Again.
Went down to visit an old friend of mine.
Well, not old old, but old as in... I hadn't seen him in a while.
And this morning... he heard me sing.
And, I discovered more of him.
He truly is beautiful.
This morning was the most beautiful I had ever seen him.
He inspires me.
He cleanses me.
And I know he doesn't say much, but I know he loves when I visit.
It's becoming rarer and rarer, but not a day goes by where I don't think about him.
The clouds lowered and hovered over us, masking the sky, as I sang and strolled with him.
Lampposts, trees, early morning dew... and the cold vapor lightly blanketing and distorting distance just made everything all the more sentimental. The way the light reflected off of him extended his beauty in front of me, wanting me to take in everything, every moment.
About an hour into our outing, something happens at one of the dorm buildings... ambulances and police were there, and even possibly a firetruck?!
I had no idea what was going on, but my curiosity took over. We peered through bushes and hid behind trees to figure this out.
We were too far away to hear much of anything... so we went back to our stroll and bonding.
And again, another distraction.
Some random truck was driving along the park.
Someone with the truck had a flashlight and was rapidly moving it back and forth, as if this person were looking for something... or someone?
I look over at him... I started to get worried. Maybe, for some reason it was me?
We hid over by the wall near the benches. Just in case the flashlight lingered over us.
I went back to the railing after a moment after a moment or two to see if anything disappeared.
The truck had started backing away, and the flashlight went poof. So, I figured it was like... some random trash pick up at the park. WRONG, although I never really figured out what it was.
So, I said my goodbyes to him, told him I'd be back later that morning and if not... that night.
I headed up the stairs and the truck had turned around again.
I hit the last stair and the headlights were on me.
I started freaking out, and didn't feel like getting raped, kidnapped, or worse...
It hit me that maybe if I started walking away from the park, it would leave me alone.
But, no. the head lights followed me for a moment and I kept walking towards the intersection.
It made a 180 degree turn and headed the other direction.
In fear of it finding me again, I decided not to return to the park to see him until later that morning, and catch some stills of the sunrise.
However, that didn't turn into my favor either.
Clouds are a major interference, and a major annoyance at that.
The sun didn't even break the cloud until around 3 PM.
And even then, I was running around, doing errands and such.

But now, I think calls for a somewhat early bedtime. I could use some sleep tonight.
